Hey advertising types: do better (please)

It started in the US about 1835.  Direct Mail…some of the very first targeted advertising. It can be really good stuff…targeted, personal…one study shows 73% of us look forward to getting brand mail…but let me add…when its done right and with care.

Check this “compelling story-telling heart felt” effort. 
It came in my mail this week…and now we know why sometimes its called:  junk mail

Do businesses really think this stuff excites people  to buy ? Or just get me to open the envelope?  
Rant over.  Ad people: please do the hard work:  care more.

Bonus Question:  Any guess as to what type of business sent this?
