This weekend back in 1879 we got our first Woolworth’s “Five & Dime” store.

We lost them in 1997.  Too bad.  
Ask any boomer, this was the place to go to if you needed a lightbulb, wanted a grilled cheese sandwich and buy a goldfish all in one place.
But alas, “Change is inevitable, except from a vending machine”.
