You know who you can blame for hearing the Macarena over and over again on the radio?
This guy: Lee De Forest, considered the father of radio, broadcast the 1st music on radio on this day back in 1907. No not the Macarena, but the William Tell overture, from the Telharmonic Hall in NY. I spent over 45 years in the industry and wrapped up the career at iHeartMedia.
Lee taught us a good business lesson:
To be successful, you have to follow your passion, not a paycheck.
Maybe I should have used Fernado by Abba or Mambo #5? ;0)
