I’ll drink to that…

A sobering story…  In the early 1900’s, about 40% of the government’s income was from taxes on wine, beer and whiskey.

The “new” Income tax replaced the revenue lost when prohibition started and ended the 5th largest business in the nation.

Then, on this day in 1933, prohibition ended.

Alcohol tax was back…and our politicians kept the income tax.  The only thing that changes things is changeexcept death and taxes.
