National Cupcake Day (12/15)

Originally known as a 1-2-3-4 cake. Why?
1 cup/butter, 2 cups/sugar, 3 cups/flour and 4 eggs (plus milk)

When first made back in 1796…
no such thing as a muffin pan, so you baked them in
(wait for it)
a pottery CUP!

I saw cupcakes everywhere but no people today.
The streets were weirdly…desserted. ;0)
