National Dollar Day (8/8)

Celebrating the day when the USA printed its first dollar in 1862.

What would a dollar buy back then?
10 pounds of beef, 5 dozen eggs, or a week’s rent or about 4 gallons of whiskey.

BUT, the average person only made a dollar a day, so there’s THAT too.

Some people do terrible things for money.
Like get up early to go to work…on a Friday.
