Gone in Philadelphia starting this weekend, many cities are banning plastic shopping bags.
A whacky Swede named Sten Thulin invented a way to mold them 56 years ago. Today, stores are using paper or reusable bags. New biodegradable plastic look-a-likes hit the market too. (like pup poop bags!)

The experts say a plastic bag needs 1,000 years to fall apart.
I know people who can do that in one afternoon on a bad day. ;0|
