You need a Dollar?

This weekend in 1862, Congress created the bureau of engraving and printing.
Poof! We have our first dollar bill. (And another government agency, we started with 4, now about 443)  

This dollar costs $278 today.  Remember when air pumps were free at gas stations?  Inflation, am I right?
